How to get to the abbey of Fontfroide

The monks settled far from every human habitation on lands which had been donated to them by the Viscount of Narbonne. Fontfroide has preserved this secluded location at the foot of the Corbières mountains. The best way to get to Fontfroide is by car.

To get to the Corbières mountains by car you must take

the A 9 motorway (Languedocienne), exit at Narbonne Sud or
the A 61 motorway (Autoroute de deux mers), exit at Lézignan-Corbières (its easier to find Fontfroide by taking the Narbonne Sud exit)

From Narbonne Sud exit, the way to Fontfroide is clearly sign-posted. You follow the N113 towards Lézignan-Corbieres and then the D613 towards Bizanet.
