The outbuildings of Fontfroide

The former outbuildings of the monastery with the oldest constructions dating from the 13th century were restored in 1997 and now offer an elegant reception area to the visitor.

In the monastery shop and in the book shop a wide range of books, postcards and products from the monastery (honey, herbs, potpourris) are on offer.

In the former cellars of the monastery, you can taste the Corbières Blanc produced at Fontfroide as well as the Corbières Rouge and the Rosé of St. Julien de Séptieme from the vineyards of the oldest Fontfroide grange which is situated immediately next to the starting point of route D 613.

The outbuildings also house the restaurant, 'La Table de Fontfroide'. It is open from Easter until All Saints day at the same times as the monastery.
